23/06 And Time Marches On
Been working hard on BuildFactory, pushing out the 1.0.6 update today which includes support for email reporting.
Oh yeah, Colin Devore interviewed me about BuildFactory. I'm so interesting, I warrant explaination :-p (yeah right).
Besides that, been looking into the various alternatives for writing cross-platform applications. So far the options are:
Basically, the options all suck, every single one of them.
14/06 BuildFactory is out, omgomg
After not sleeping well in a while, 1.0 of BuildFactory was released today.Jeezy chreezy, this is a bigg'un, there's so much to do to push that first one out the door, and at 2pm, maybe it's time for breakfast, lunch, and a bloody nap.
But go download it, buy it, spit on it, whatever you feel like, it's "out" "there" now. Eep.
09/06 Software Update sucks
(or, I'm right, you're wrong, now STFU)
In the wild, two young bucks beat the living shit out of each other to no end in order to prove themselves worthy. Fellow young buck, Zac White, has really got me thinking, mostly because, I am right, and he is wrong, and he totally can't accept that (if there was a <facetious> tag, it'd surround that last line). Zac send me this link (http://zacwhite.com/update/profileLookup.php), and pointed out how SparklePlus, like the Omni Software Update tool, allows for the developer(s) to gather hardware and OS information from their users updating their software. The functionality is in of itself, freakin' cool, and while I do enjoy a good line graph every now and then, I believe this functionality is...spyware.
